Propuestas para la construcción de indicadores de alfabetización mediática

Abstract

La problemática de la alfabetización mediática ha sido una constante en los estudios realizados por órganos de reconocido prestigio tales como UNESCO y la Unión Europea. Ante la ausencia de modelos generales para analizar el estado de la cuestión y las limitaciones de los existentes, esta investigación se centra en el análisis de los indicadores planteados por organismos internacionales como el Consejo de Europa, el Ministerio de Medios de Comunicación, Cultura y Deporte de Reino Unido o investigaciones llevadas a cabo por distintas universidades. Este trabajo persigue la enumeración de variables para diseñar una futura gama de indicadores que permitan analizar la situación de la alfabetización mediática en diversos entornos. Desde este punto de vista, la búsqueda de sistemas de indicadores fiables en el entramado mediático fortalecerá la comprensión del mismo, facilitando la realización de análisis comparados que tengan en cuenta la alfabetización mediáticaThe problematic of mediatic literacy has been a constant referent in the studies realized by organizations of recognized prestige such as UNESCO and the European Union. Confronting the absence of general models to analyze the state of the matter and the limitations of the actual existing ones, this research is centered on the analysis of the indicators presented by international organisms, such as the European Council, the Communication Media, Culture and Sports Ministry of United Kingdom, and the researches made by different Universities around the Globe. This work pursues the enumeration of different variants in order to design a future set of indicators that will allow the analysis of the situation of mediatic literacy in various spaces. From this point of view, the searching of reliable indicators of the mediatic intricacy will strengthen its comprehension, providing the accomplishment of compared analysis that take into account the mediatic literacy.
