La Retórica del discurso : la Cohortatio. Tradición clásica y pervivencia

Abstract

El presente artículo aborda la incidencia de la retórica deliberativa en la tradición historiográfica antigua, en su forma de arenga militar o cohoflatia, en especial el discurso del general a sus soldados justo antes de la batalla. Asimismo rastrea su pervivencia en la historiografía medieval y renacentista.The present paper tackles the incidence of deliberative rhetoric upon the military harangue oc colwrtatio in the ancient bistoriograpbical tradition, more specifzcally tbe speeches addressed by the general to bis soldiers just before the battle. It also traces its continuity in medieval and Renaissance historiography.
