Abstract
El consumo de medios de comunicación por parte de niños y jóvenes en nuestra
sociedad ya es un hecho incuestionable. Desde el año 2010 se ha impulsado un proyecto
I+D que pretende evaluar la competencia mediática en la enseñanza obligatoria en
Andalucía. El contenido fue definido en base a seis dimensiones desarrolladas para
evaluar los niveles de competencia de la ciudadanía. El presente trabajo analiza el
grado de competencia mediática en su dimensión de Tecnología en la población de
primaria y secundaria en la Comunidad Autónoma de Andalucía. Es un reto crucial
para conocer la Sociedad de la Información en la cual nos encontramos y es una tarea
importante para preparar acciones formativas en alfabetización mediática a futuro.
El estudio recoge los resultados comparativos entre dos encuestas realizadas en la
Comunidad Autónoma de Andalucía en una variada muestra de colegios andaluces.
Ambos instrumentos se diseñaron para ser implementadas on-line y para cada uno
de ellos se construyó una plataforma de seguimiento en tiempo real. Para detectar
necesidades y carencias y planificar a futuro estrategias en la escuela. El estudio
concreta el término competencia mediática y analiza una de sus dimensiones y varias
categorías del estudio cuantitativo. Esta investigación concluye que la población de primaria y, principalmente, secundaria carece de competencias mediáticas en la
dimensión analizada. Sería necesario el desarrollo de una asignatura en educación
mediática en el currículum escolar.
The media consumption by children and young people in our society and is a fact. Since 2010 has been driven R & D project that aims to assess media literacy in compulsory education in Andalusia. The content was defined based on six dimensions developed to assess the skill levels of citizenship. This paper analyzes the degree of media literacy in primary and secondary school population in Andalusia. It is a critical challenge for the information society in which we are and is an important task to prepare media literacy training activities in the future. The study reports the comparative results of two surveys conducted in the autonomous community of Andalusia in a varied sample of Andalusian schools. Both tools are designed to be implemented on line and each built a platform real-time tracking. To identify needs and gaps and plan for future strategies in school. The study defines media literacy and analysis of its dimensions and various categories of the quantitative study. This research concludes that the population of primary and mainly secondary media literacy lacks the dimension analyzed. It is necessary to develop a course in media education in the school curriculum.
