Abstract
The cooperation among cooperatives is a principle whose international dimension is gathering strength in the current economic context, the same as, in general, the phenomenon of cooperation among companies. In the case of European Union frontier re gions, this cooperation is being stimulated through Interreg Initiative. In this framework, FAECA (Andalusian Federation of Agrarian Cooperatives Societies) has carried out , and is proposing, some cooperation actions with Portugal, particularly with the A lgarve and Alentejo regions. These actions are explained in this paper.
