Abstract
La motivación de este estudio es comprender la importancia que tienen las oportunidades
de aprendizaje (OTL)**** que ofrece el profesor en su aula a la hora de facilitar la adquisición
de las competencias matemáticas de sus estudiantes (CM). Con este fin, nuestro objetivo
es describir las posibles relaciones entre OTL y CM. En este artículo presentamos el
modelo teórico OTL-CM que trata de describir, explicar y predecir los fenómenos de la
enseñanza-aprendizaje, en términos de que ciertas OTL (que ofrecen los profesores en
sus aulas) pueden favorecer el desarrollo de ciertas CM. Este modelo es útil en la
observación de situaciones de enseñanza-aprendizaje como instrumento que puede
ayudar a explicarlas e interpretarlas.
The aim of this study is to understand the importance of the Opportunities-to-Learn (OTL) offered by teachers in the classroom in facilitating the acquisition of mathematical competence (CM) of their students. Accordingly, our goal is to find and describe the possible relationship between OTL and CM.
