Abstract
El tema del presente artículo pretende descubrir el proceso seguido por la aculturación de
las naciones indígenas orinoquenses bajo el
régimen jesuítico y cuáles fueron las claves del
éxito para lograr salir de la dispersión y construir la reducción ordenada. Así se estudia el
papel de la Escuela a la que tenían que asistir
todos los jóvenes y dedicar el día completo al
aprendizaje. Y en segundo lugar el trabajo les
parece que ya están bastante instruidos y que
no tienen necesidad de más”. Paralelamente
ejercieron una gran atracción las artes manuales sobre todo la fragua, los telares, aunque
este oficio no parece que gozó de la atención
de los orinoquenses, la carpintería, la pintura,
etc. Y sería la hacienda la verdadera maestra
del llanero
