Percepciones de los estudiantes sobre el uso de la tablet en el salón de clases considerando la ciencia de datos y el aprendizaje automático

Abstract

Esta investigación cuantitativa tiene como objetivo analizar las percepciones de los estudiantes sobre el uso de la tablet en el salón de clases considerando la ciencia de datos y el aprendizaje automático (regresión lineal). La muestra está conformada por 130 estudiantes de la Facultad de negocios. Los resultados del aprendizaje automático (con 50%, 60% y 70% de entrenamiento) indican que la tablet influye positivamente la búsqueda de la información en Internet, el acceso a las aplicaciones web, la difusión de la información en la red y la participación activa del estudiante. Por otro lado, la ciencia de datos permite identificar 4 modelos predictivos sobre el uso de de la tablet en el salón de clases por medio de la técnica árbol de decisión. Por último, los dispositivos móviles están transformando la planeación, organización y realización de las actividades escolares en el Siglo XXI. En particular, la tablet mejora las condiciones de enseñanza-aprendizaje en el salón de clases

This quantitative research aims to analyze the perceptions of students about the use of the tablet in the classroom considering data science and machine learning (linear regression). The sample consists of 130 students from the Business School. The results of machine learning (with 50%, 60% and 70% of training) indicate that the tablet has a positive influence the search for information on the Internet, access to web applications, the dissemination of information on the Internet and the active participation of the student. On the other hand, data science allows identifying 4 predictive models on the use of the tablet in the classroom through the decision tree technique. Finally, mobile devices are transforming the planning, organization and realization of school activities in the XXI Century. In particular, the tablet improves teaching-learning conditions in the classroom
