La ficción sentimental, del centro a los márgenes: relato interpolado y proyección narrativa

Abstract

En este artículo se estudian diversos tipos de inserciones narrativas integradas en la estructura de los textos de la ficción sentimental. Estas inserciones pueden ser endógenas, cuando es el texto sentimental el que las incorpora (ya sean de naturaleza homogénea con respecto al género, o bien heterogénea), y también exógenas, en el caso de que las novelas sentimentales se inscriban en estructuras ajenas. Cuando la materia amorosa ocupa uno o varios episodios del conjunto, estableciendo relación temática con ellos a través de la imbricación de los personajes, se produce entonces el fenómeno de la proyección narrativa, un mecanismo de perpetuación genérica y normalmente posterior al de las interpolaciones. De todo ello se aducen aquí ejemplos narrativos de los siglos XV a XVII.

In this article, different types of narrative insertions within the structure of sentimental fiction texts are studied. These insertions can be either endogenous, when it is the sentimental text that incorporates them (whether it be homogeneous or heterogeneous), or exogenous, when the sentimental novels fall within other structures. When the matter of love occupies one or several episodes of the work, through a thematic relationship with them due to the overlapping of the characters, the phenomenon of narrative projection occurs, a mechanism of generic perpetuation and generally subsequent to that of interpolations. Diverse narrative examples from the 15th to the 17th centuries are adduced in order to illustrate the above-mentioned subjects.
