Mito y rito : la construcción de las divinas dependencias en el mundo griego

Abstract

En el presente artículo se explica cómo se justifica a partir del mito la distancia jerárquica insuperable entre las divinidades y los seres humanos. La construcción griega del "tiempo de los héroes" construye una época ya pasada en la que divinidades y seres humanos compartían peligrosamente su compañía. Los encuentros entre divinidades y humanos habrían acabado cuando Zeus ordenó el mundo con la matanza de los héroes en las guerras de Troya y Tebas. El mito refuerza la distancia al construir un tiempo de los héroes en el que se despliega el horror y la gloria de un encuentro excesivo. El rito, en el presente, queda perfilado en contraste como la forma de relación con los dioses por excelencia, marcando la distancia y el sometimiento.__________________________The following paper focuses on how myth justifies the distance between the human and the divine. The "time of heroes" was a time when men and gods dangerously shared each other company. The meetings came to an end when Zeus arranged the world with the killing of the heroes in the Troyan and Teban Wars. Myth reinforces the distance because it creates a time of heroes that clearly shows the dread and glorious consequences of a close relation between gods and men. Rites, in the present, establish the right form of relationship with the divine, and lay bear the distance and yoke of men to gods.
