Abstract
The purpose of this basic study is to explore the potential capacity of technological resources to become adequate means of supporting psychosocial intervention programs. Different variables associated with empathy have been explored using the Cognitive and Affective Empathy Test as a measurement tool. As a technological resource, Virtual Reality has been used with 360º recordings. The application of the treatment has been carried out on a sample of 34 high school students, from different provinces of Spain. The results indicate a low effect on the global empathy score, and a moderate effect on the Empathetic Stress scale on the global sample but effective on the experimental group that previously scored low on empathy together with antisocial behavior, concluding the usefulness of using this type of resources and the need to expand research in this regard.
