Abstract
O presente trabalho analisa os impactos que a fama,
a audiência e a atuação como youtuber podem ter na
formação da identidade, na autoestima e no bem-estar
psicológico do indivíduo. Discute as contribuições da
Literacia Mediática como instrumento para interagir
com a mídia de forma autônoma, crítica, visando
ampliar a consciência de seus efeitos sobre si mesmo
e, resguardar seu bem-estar psicológico. Para isso, foi
realizada uma análise de conteúdo por meio de um
estudo de caso baseado na produção audiovisual de
Whindersson Nunes, um youtuber com expressiva
visibilidade e atuação junto ao público brasileiro, mas
que no auge da fama sofreu um processo de depressão.
Verificou-se que a relação com os seguidores, o
impacto da atuação de haters e as práticas enquanto
youtuber produziram, efeitos na sua identidade.
The present work analyzes the impacts that fame, audience, and acting as a YouTuber can have on the formation of identity, self-esteem, and psychological well-being of the individual. To do so, a content analysis was conducted through a case study based on the audiovisual production of Whindersson Nunes, a YouTuber with significant visibility and engagement with the Brazilian public, who experienced a depression process at the peak of his fame. It was found that the relationship with followers, the impact of haters‘ actions, and practices as a YouTuber consequently produced effects on his identity. Based on the analysis of this case, the contributions of media literacy are discussed as a tool to interact with media autonomously and critically, aiming to increase awareness of its effects with the goal of safeguarding psychological well-being.
