Abstract
En este trabajo presentamos parte de los resultados de un estudio en que profesores de
matemática que cursaban un programa de doctorado se enfrentaron a la resolución un problema
abierto. Los profesores diseñaron diversos modelos de solución y basados en esas soluciones
analizamos y discutimos características del conocimiento especializado del profesor para
resolver ese tipo de problemas. Asimismo, incidiremos en cómo la discusión grupal, y la
evolución de los diferentes modelos de resolución genera oportunidades de que el profesor
active, movilice y refuerce diferentes aspectos de su conocimiento especializado.
In this paper we address some aspects of a research project focusing on teachers knowledge and here the participants were a group of PhD students in mathematics education (teachers in different school levels) when they had to solve an open ended problem. From the participants’ productions and associated reasoning for solving the problem we discuss and reflect upon teachers’ specialised knowledge for solving such problems. We will also reflect about how the group discussion and the evolution of the different models to approach the problems generate opportunities for the teacher to activate, mobilize, and strengthen different elements of his specialized knowledge.
