Abstract
In this article we reflect on the profound contradiction that we detect between school knowledge that is prescribed in the new decree of minimum teaching contents in the Social Sciences, geography and history for Compulsory Secondary Education and three of the objectives that are aimed at being attained with the projected quality law: to reduce the index of school failure, raise the level of the training of students and foment the culture of effort.
